Q - What is Operation Rendezvous

The Operation Rendezvous is a premier event of the Michigan Crossroads Council in partnership with the Michigan Army National Guard. It has been planned to create a pinnacle experience for Scouts and Scouters that builds enthusiasm for Scouting and to introduce our program to others within our community. The program will focus on the activities of Scouting.
Scouting America Sponsored Activities:
Activities include but are not limited to the following:
- Scout Night Hike and Glow Frisbees – Friday Night at the Grandstand
- Adventure Point - Climbing Tower and Inflatable Archery Ranges, Inflatable Bounce Houses,
- Range and Target Activities (RATA) on a Military Range Complex- including BB Guns, Archery, and Sling Shots, .22 Long Rifle Shooting Opportunities for older TROOP SCOUTS ONLY, sorry No Cub Scouts on the .22LR Range)
- STEM Activities Area – Indoor and Outdoor STEM Activities!
- Water Rockets – Bring some 2 Liter Bottles to Build and Fly a Rocket!
- Mini STEM Drones – Build and fly your own mini STEM Drone (no personal drones area allowed please) - Sign-up for a Drone educational Saturday timeslot when you arrive on Friday night
- Monkey Bridge Test your Balance and cross the bridge
- Native American Display
- Patch Trading – Bring and Show, Buy and Sell
- Fly Fishing Demo - Fly Tying and Fly Casting and much more (see Appendix E). In addition, there will also be an Exhibits
- Live Music at the Grandstand Saturday Night!
Military Sponsored Events include:
- Humvee Rides around Camp Grayling – Ride Along in an Army Humvee!
- Military Equipment Displays on the Parade Field – Check out The National Guards Military Vehicles!
- “Practice” Army Fitness Test Demonstration and Tryout – Are You Tough Enough to Be a Soldier?
- Inflatable Obstacle Challenge Course – Run a “Kid Friendly” Obstacle Course
- Military Simulators – EST 2000 – Shoot on a Electronic Military Range Simulator!
- Possible Aviation Demo – UH-60 Blackhawk Fly-in, Military Drone Demo! (Weather Dependent)

The admission fee includes:
- An opportunity for the youth participants to take part in a multitude of fun filled, age appropriate, events and activities during Operation Rendezvous 2026.
- A patch for all participants.
- Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sunday continental breakfast.

- Full Complement of Scout and Military Sponsored Activities on Saturday
- Shooting Sports on a Military Range – Archery, BB Guns, Slingshots and .22Long Rifle

- Fireworks on Saturday NightFinally, the admission fee helps to pay for the Rendezvous 2026 infrastructure like porta johns, electricity to the exhibits, security, first aid, parking, etc.
Q - How does my family, Pack, Troop, Crew or Ship register for the Rendezvous 2026?

We encourage all Packs, Troops, Crews and Ships to pre-register online using the Rendezvous 2026 web site: https://scoutingevent.com/272-OperationRendezvous. Registration is quick and easy.
At Rendezvous 2026 everyone must submit a unit roster form. If actual scout names are entered during pre-registration, a roster will be created during onsite registration. If dummy names are entered during pre-registration, you will be required to update your registration online when you arrive with actual names of participants. Computers will be available at the registration tent for you to update your online registration.
Q - What is the appropriate attire during the Rendezvous 2026?

All Youth and Adults who plan on participating in fitness challenges should wear active wear/clothing that can get muddy, wet, or stained. The rest of the time the activity uniform or field uniform can be worn.
Q - Is the Rendezvous 2026 open to Scouts from other councils and countries?
A -
Yes, Scouts from other councils and countries are encouraged to participate in the Rendezvous 2026.

We’ll do what Scouts frequently do – go full speed ahead! Please check the weather forecast and Be Prepared.
Q - Are Health Forms required for Scouts to participate in the Rendezvous 2026?
A -
An Annual Health and Medical Record is required for all youth and adult participants in a scouting activity such as the Rendezvous. Leaders should keep their unit’s health forms on-site with their unit. Individual families participating should have the forms in their possession. The information will provide helpful information to the onsite medical team in the event of an illness or injury while also providing emergency contact information. The information contained is respected and treated as confidential.
All participants in the Rendezvous activities must complete Part A and Part B of the Personal Health and Annual Health and Medical Record. The forms can be found at: https://michiganscouting.org/new-bsa-medical-form/
